Following the release of our 2026 US Agencies Benchmarking Report, we are highlighting the top US B2B Marketing Agencies across the US. The report provides a clear view of the agencies setting the pace in one of the most competitive B2B markets. In this blog, we take a closer look at some of the top-performing content and thought leadership agencies featured in the report, what makes them distinctive and what key insights they offer into the trends shaping the market today.
Before diving in, it’s worth explaining how we gathered data for specialisms. In a survey of 25 agencies, participants selected the services they offer across a range of specialisms, including ABM, content marketing, demand generation, and more. They then identified their top three specialisms from that same list. We then analyzed the most frequently selected specialisms. Content and Thought Leadership emerged as a top three specialism, with more than 50% of agencies ranking it among their top three. This allowed us to create the rankings based on US gross income (GI) in their most recently closed financial year.
So, who made the top 5? See the agencies below:
- Dentsu B2B
- Fahlgren Mortine
- Walker Sands
- RAB2B
- Pretzel
When considering the financial state of the US marketplace in 2026 it makes the successes of these companies even more impactful. Despite ongoing economic and political uncertainty, gross income has risen at an accelerated rate from $13.5 million in 2024 to $17 million in 2025 and then $23 million in 2026. This is simultaneous with average headcount only seeing a modest increase from 93.7 to 96 from 2025 to 2026. Reviewed together, this data tells us that revenue is growing significantly faster than resources pointing to a new phase of efficiency and higher-quality growth driven by B2B marketing leaders in the US.
Our content and thought leadership specialist, Pretzl offer a prime example of how this higher-quality growth is achieved. We met with David Feinberg, President of Pretzl (#5), who highlighted the high saturation of content in B2B Marketing in 2026 and recognized that now more than ever attention is the rarest and most contested commodity. This, for his company, has resulted in a fundamental but necessary shift from “sheer volume to more targeted, relevant content”.
A key emphasis by Pretzl, which revolves around this principle, is on the human voice. Amidst all the noise around data and AI, one principle endures: credibility is human. Pretzl, alongside other B2B marketing leaders, are moving away from corporate messaging and instead empowering experts to contribute directly to thought leadership. As David notes, often this expertise can be found in-house and yet are overlooked.
David’s discussion with us aligns with the wider shift in content creation and thought leadership experienced by all B2B marketing firms in the US and across the world. For leading organizations, the convergence of AI and the human voice allows for clarity combined with authenticity to provide content with value.
